MINNEAPOLIS, MN (2/26/13) – The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award to Peter Seiler, assistant professor of aerospace engineering and mechanics, for a project that utilizes the Eolos Wind Energy Research facilities of the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory (SAFL). The five-year, $400,000 award, will support Seiler’s work to develop advanced systems for monitoring and control of wind farms while enhancing training for the next generation of wind energy engineers and technicians.
